Presenting problem is the initial problem given by the client. However, this can only be a defense to the real problem. Our health provider’s duty is to discover the real problem that leads the individual to seek mental health services.
The underlying problems may vary from the general (e.g. chronic anxiety) to the specific (e.g. dealing with a teacher at school). We at Kidz Safe Harbor Treatment Center use a standardized approach to explore the problem as presented and take a wider and deeper understanding of the person.
Understanding how the problems have been presented can provide us a valuable information about the symptoms and implications for treatment. For details, please contact us at 281-709-6380 today.
